Today, there are over 400 women investors, from all across Canada, and Women’s Equity Lab is a network of 8 Investment Groups that have launched over 20 funds, invested over $5 million* in over 60 Canadian startups.

Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, London, Montreal and Atlantic Canada are just the beginning. With further expansion planned, WEL is a driving force in the Canadian startup economy, and its women are using their capital to create change in sectors that matter to them – femtech, personal health, AI, green tech, e-commerce, transportation, beauty – to name a few. And 75% of our investments are in companies led or founded by women – over 20x the industry average.
